Complex Care

We specialise in working with clients with acquired brain injury (ABI), traumatic brain injury (TBI), spinal cord injury and other disabling conditions, including cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis and muscular dystrophy. We are experienced in working with ventilator-dependent clients and are experts in paediatric care.

Spinal Cord Injury

Whether a spinal cord injury is due to congenital or other medical conditions or trauma, it has far-reaching effects on the person involved and the people close to them.

At Acute Need, our focus is to provide the high quality, complex health care and support that adults and children with spinal cord injuries, and their families, require to lead as full and independent lives as possible, in their own homes.

Brain Injury

Brain injuries fall into two categories, acquired brain injury (ABI) or traumatic brain injury.

A brain injury will have both physical and emotional effects. In some cases it will lead to permanent disability and can impact on an individual’s understanding, emotions and behaviour, changing lives forever, potentially creating complex health care needs and taking individuals in new and challenging directions.
